Life Transitions

What are life transitions?

life transitions, empty nest, midlife crisis, quarter life crisis, end of life, grief, getting married, chronic illness, You remember the times you effectively dealt with your previous life transitions, but now it is hard to navigate your boat for some reason. Are you in your comfort zone for too long, and you feel you don’t grow? Do you have a fear of the unknown? Are you in denial even when change is predictable? You lose your capacity to laugh and feel consumed by your thoughts and insecurities. Although a change is a positive experience, you are confused by the sadness you feel about what you left behind.  Are you facing your finiteness and unable to cope?

Life is a dynamic play of ups and downs. Major life transitions occur throughout our lives, and they are inevitable and constant. People experience a wide range of positive and negative changes. Every change most easily brings our attention to the present moment.  These changes can be overwhelming, depleting, challenging, scary or dramatic. On the other hand, some other life circumstances bring growth, a new perspective, greater self-discovery, and a new equilibrium.
